Mobile Industry Review: We’ve just sent an iPhone to our 16 year old intern

I am throughly looking forward to her assumptions, I have a feeling she is not going to be an apple fangirl. Oh and Ewan I got (7A's and 3B's) :D. I have a feeling Samantha may beat that tomorrow!

    I'm not going to!
I have to get at least a C in Maths, and Music I doubt I'll get more than a C either. As for everything else, I don't know.

Music was never going to be a brilliant grade ever; I only took it to become good at playing the guitar, and I couldn't even manage that. Although, I can happily sing along to Wonderwall, and simplified versions of many other great songs!

5 A's, 3 B's. No such thing as A*s in my day (probably just as well for me!)
  • Mike42 · 1 year ago
But you *did* go on to get a <drumroll> degree!
  • Ben Smith · 1 year ago
Actually, it was a Computing Degree *Ithankyou*

So you can troubleshoot an Amstrad or sort out my C64 tape drive problem then? ;-)

    Computing... not Archaeology.

I'm still unsure how I feel about the iPhone. I understand *why* people like them, and *why* they are good. But I also wonder if my N95, is actually better. I love browsing the Internet and listening to music on my phone, but I also love the fact i'm always carrying a decent 5mpx camera with me. If only the iPhone had a better camera, it'd be a no brainer. But I love the innovation behind the iPhone and it's UI, Nokia don't seem to be innovating enough, the N95 and N82 are brilliant, but it is a sad day when Samsung's new Symbian effort is fast approaching to kick theirs, and the N96's arses. I just don't know!!!

I think the only A's I got were in Science... *sigh*

I'm beginning to think the N95 may well be better... but only better in the way a F1 car is better than a family saloon. As a 'normal person' I appreciate the power of the F1 car, but it's useless in my own hands because I can't make it work.

    Nah - it's a Saab vs a Vauxhall.

They share the same underpinnings, and do fundamentally the same thing. But one is really, really well thought-out and beautifully executed.

    The other's a Vauxhall.

I can see why some people like them, but they don't suit me. iPhones are too much of a glamourous being that it makes me angry at them. The innovation is definitely something, but just not my cup of tea.

I agree about the camera too!

I've got A's and two A* grades in my first Science GCSE. Science is brilliant though, I love it. If I could I would take all three next year, but then it would mean giving up History or Psychology, and I couldn't do that either.

She's ... what... 1.5 hours away from her destiny...

Ewan kindly allowed me to play around with an iPhone a little while ago. I thoroughly hate the iPhone, Apple really should have just stuck to iPods. The only function that really impressed me with the iPhone was the feature that made my fellow classmates point and stare when I whipped it out of my pocket. One thing that annoyed me were the problems I had connecting it to WI-FI.

5A's, 5A*s - but none of that really matters once you're in the real world when all they want is relevant experience.
