Mobile Industry Review: Watch the layabout UK Mobile Industry recline at Mo Mo London

Lucky I wasn’t there. I’d have been screaming from the back within the first two minutes. If they let me in, that is.

You can sign up at http://alpha.mobilemonday.org.uk for the next event (announced soon). I don't think they've banned anyone from attending. Unless you wear your phone in a holster... ;-)

To be fair, the panel wasn't set up as though they'd be on video and then stuck up on the web. Although you could argue you should expect that kind of thing now. Not too sure that's ideal, but there you go.

I would've liked the panel and presenters to be a bit more interesting and opinionated -- agree with you on that.

There are good and bad points to the MoMo format (I don't go often, though).

A review from someone who wasn't there ?
And he criticizes the speakers for being laid back ?
Come on..... what a cynic !

I *WAS* there - and found the whole experience enlightening.

The seating configuratios was not set up for panel working, but if yu listen to what is being said (and what is NOT) then it is possuble to glean a handful of gems.

David Wood cotinues to score highly in my 'he knows what he is talking about' charts!

That was absolutely deflating....is that the best of the UK? MoMo Sydney may not have the same size or funds but it is always fresh and exciting...if I didn't know it was meant to be about mobile I would have thought it was an accountants AGM.

Momo sydney would be a lot better if the token sales pitch presentations got sacked off... SMS alerts are very 2003.
