Look forward to reading the updates...I wonder if you could find a U-Mobile subscriber to send you info rather than getting it from public info??
There are two main things to point out here - the first is that U-Mobile is conditional. Its far closer to Sugar Mama than Blyk.
You earn your free for getting ads. This essentially means that the only incentive for involvement is the free part. "I have to put up with the ads to earn the reward".
Eventually, the advertisers will ask 'why would people want to interact with my ads? What is ensuring that?' and the answer is 'Well they have to otherwise they don't get rewarded' to which the retort could be 'So its not because subscribers want to its because they have to?' and the U-Mobile answer would be 'Yes'.
The second point is that it looks like the 'relevance' factor is purely based on the sign-up process - just like your website social network. This essentially means that if you change preferences but dont update your profile, there could be little or no subtelty in the relevancy aligorithms.
I am really enthused by these models appearing and will watch very closely :)

Ewan manges to find someone to send updates, they may be reading this know, that's how I got involved with Blyk watch.
I do agree with you about putting up with ad's for credit, oh and standby I have a blog post about Ad funded networks in the next few days.

You might want to compare the privacy policy of both operators, i had almost a heart attack ;)
