Exactly the same happened to me - wanting to unlock a HTC S710 from Orange - they list HTC at the top of their list of "Popular makes" - took my money and then sent me back rubbish that I already knew. Scam through and through. Feel like reporting them to Trading Standards....

it happened to me i got sucked in and wasted money and was told my phone could not be unlocked such a scam...............

i also paid unlocktelecom.co.uk (visual effects ltd) £4.99 to unlock my phone only to be informed that they coudnt.. Shocking. Ive emailed them and i now plan to take this further. I also plan to do everything in my power to advertise this online theft..I will enjoy this.
