  • I can recomend a good mobile data package...
  • Tell me more? ;-)
  • Try getting Vodafone's Firstbornchild roaming data add-on. They give you roaming data... you give them...
  • Is that 3G?
  • It depends how much you use... it has been known to cost several thousand g's
  • Depends. Are you expecting triplets?
  • Is there a subsidised handset?
  • Careful. I know quite a few parents who just might take them up on that deal...
  • Over a decade ago I had a customer who was connecting to the internet through our dialup platform from a satphone from somewhere in the north sea. The only thing more shocking than the slow speed was the per minute cost. It was also a bit flakey so he called for help quite a bit (also at a horrendously expensive per minute rate)... unfortunately on the days when I wasn't in the support guys would always put him on hold for ages while they went away and tried to find out if we actually supported dialup via satphone *smacks forhead*

And you thought Vodafone data rates screwed you!
  • Well it's looking good. I'm going to talk to Iridium shortly, Dan -- and
should hopefully hear back from Inmarsat soon.
  • enjoy your holiday, you need it
  • V good of you Stefan. I will be thinking of you when I am sipping cocktails
    and typing on my Blackberry.

No, wait, there's no GPRS on the Island...

...but the whole thing has blanket wifi coverage...
