Did you try turning MobileMe off? Did that make much of a difference?
Hope they fix it soon.

I've never had a smartphone I didn't have to drop in the charger every night.

It's a workaround (and I use that term lightly), but why can't you just plug your iPhone into the charging cable at night. Do you have to use the thing in your sleep or something?
