Orange is redeemed in my eyes … I think!

Started by Ewan · 1 year ago

I’m very impressed with Orange. Very.

I was just checking out the cost of an Nokia N82 and browsing the price plans when I got a little window pop-up on my screen asking if I needed help.
My gosh! A mobile operator, trying to help folk online!

  • couple of points three already do this service ie online operator help and I find them very good. In fact with three if you use their help facility they give you a £20 accessory voucher.

Secondly, Orange launched the data very last minute if rumours are correcting in fact July POS material in store does not include the new information, it was a very quiet launch unlike Vodafone. I think this is probably due to the speed that they had to sort it out, so I think its fairly understandable about the website not being fully updated.

Thirdly I love the weird flirting Ewan MacLeod: The Nokia N82 has been calling my name, Christine. HA HA!
and NO I don't work for l'orange before anyone asks! I am not sure why I am defending them however the plans are looking quite competitive to me!
  • I have just rung to see if I can get this on my current "20 Plan"

They are unable to help me as "the website is being upgraded" apparently if I call back after the weekend there will be some exciting news for existing customers....

hmmm. I hope I can get this on my current plan as I dont want to start a new contract as I want an upgrade in November! :)

Oh, and good idea about the online "chat" sesh.
  • This is what I was talking about on the podcast, everyone is telling me that Orange is doing 500MB of data but I couldn't buy it on their site, the best I could get was Panther with 250MB of data for £35/£40 per month (24 month and 18 month contracts respectively). Not exactly the deal of the century!

Not quite redeemed in my eyes yet!
