Hello Vodaphone!

Re: O2 to offer 50 day money back guarantee on its mobile broadband

Come on 3UK where's your "trial" When they rang me the other day and we talked about broadband dongles they offered up a paltry 3 day trial for the service - even after being told that I wanted it but was only going to signup to a contract if it actually works at our home properly. 3 days!

Re: O2 to offer 50 day money back guarantee on its mobile broadband

The main question is will the others follow suit?

Re: O2 to offer 50 day money back guarantee on its mobile broadband

I'm really suspicious of my Vodafone dongle. It worked like a dream when I first purchased it until about two weeks after when it began slowing down, losing signal etc.

HOWEVER

I happened to buy a new laptop and when I began using it from that the first two weeks (again) were great. Then, alas, it went crap again.

Call me paranoid but...

It's a conspiracy. A conspiracy I tell you!

Re: O2 to offer 50 day money back guarantee on its mobile broadband

I dont understand... O2 have the best 2G coverage. (I have tried and tested all the networks)
But 3G/HSPA is so bad. why? I really wouldn't bother with going Mobile Broadband with them. Not until they catch up. I've been using 3 Mobile broadband and it's great. 3.6mbps all the time!

Re: O2 to offer 50 day money back guarantee on its mobile broadband

Well full 3G coverage here in Salford, however I did a post code check for my home town Morecambe and the 3G signal is none exsistant.

Re: O2 to offer 50 day money back guarantee on its mobile broadband

I suspect they'll have a lot of dongles thrown back at them - their 3G network is pony. I live in Chelmsford, i'm mostly using GPRS. Even in SW London it flutters between 2G-3.5G. I was ooop North a few weeks ago and for the whole time I didn't even see the 3G logo. It is terrible. I imagine they are hoping people will sign up and accept the bad service and carry on paying.

Kip - who is particularly cross at O2 tonight...
