Calling all Nokia & Symbian geniuses: Am I wrong?
If I had changed my pitch to solely answering that question and my technology demo had been 100% convincing that I was right, I would be doing something else right now.
As it happens there was (and still is) no good reason for using my technology rather than buying £5's of Cadburys a month. it remains a fabulous piece of technology though. I would have loved to have known that killer question though then I was early enough into the project to know that that is the only question that needs to be so obvious to every person in the target population on the day you make the pitch that it only takes 10 minutes to convince a grandmother that its true (not mine because she believes in me anyway).
Good on you Mr O and Ewan for having the insight to take this public.
I second MarkW's comment and intent although I think justification, in general, breeds clarity. Clarity is rarely bad.
I hear rumblings of a 'start-up' virtual environment with new projects and investors in one melting pot just around the corner - the like of Mr O should feature there too..
On a final point - it may be beneficial to also give some guidelines on any 'rules of thumb' Mr O may have found over the years rather than personal opinions on mobile companies - although they will be very interesting too!
