Calling all Nokia & Symbian geniuses: Am I wrong?
Or is James 'I'm not gay' Whatley just too professional to make mistakes? ;)
K
Seriously, though, I hope my cohorts at Nokia are taking notes. We could learn a couple of things from the experience.
...I'm halfway into my review for Wednesday/
Camera performance (wot, no video??)
Camera integration with GPS, Picasa etc - how easy is it to get photos off the camera and onto PC, and are they Geo-tagged automatically?
Google Earth?
Multiple IM clients/accounts.
Integration with Google Docs.
Email integration other than Gmail (Yahoo, Hotmail, Pop3 etc)
Looking forward to your findings James!
awesome OS
very average hardware.
but at least the hardware keeps up and theres no swipe....wait...wait....wait
like on htc win mo devices.
very average hardware."
Spot on.
Anybody know if purchased apps are backed up somewhere, in case the user were to lose or update their handset?
Very impressed with the device. Really nice screen, nice web browsing experience. Unfortunatley T Mobile have blocked a lot of content, in store, so I could not test you tube through the dedicated app or through the website.
Also tested google maps. Works nice and fast.
I didn't like the keyboard much though. But i'm sure you would get used to it.
I'm so tempted to get one as I use google's services so much (gmail, reader, calendar) I think I will wait to see what whatley makes of it!
Look forward to reading your review on wednesday James.

Can you see if you can hear radio 2 on the device while taking a shower. As I do normally shower with wogan in the morning :S (is it loud and clear enough? :D)
I don't know if the browser will be able to play direct from website or if you need a real player link like on the n95.

Thanks!
mind you terry wogan may be more offensive?
have you tried calling andrew sachs from the shower?
:)
Whilst the Apple iPhone stirred the handset market up with FUNCTIONALITY, I suspect that the area in which Android handsets will score highly will be in VALUE FOR MONEY. We are going to see lots and lots of Android phones coming on to the market over the next 6 months; some will be rubbish, some will be good, but inevitably hey will cost far less than the iPhone (and the T-Mobile G1!)
Roll on the arrival of truckloads of cheap and cheerful Android handsets from the Peoples Republic of somewhere Far Eastern!
