My dream came true, a nokie with qwerty and touch.....don;t worry N97, we'll be together very soon.

Re: James Whatley hands-on with the Nokia N97

Heck they could have just added an infra red light for night videos (for those of us that need it)

Re: James Whatley hands-on with the Nokia N97

I'm hoping it lives up to expectations and more. The bare minimum for it to be even considered a success would have to be doing everything the N95 did, with seamless ease.

Re: James Whatley hands-on with the Nokia N97

Very good hardware wise. Keyboard impressed me, I got the knack of it almost immediately.
Wouldn't be fair to judge pre-production software... Hand on heart?

I can't wait to get my teeth into it... My N95 8GB is *such* a workhorse for me. It does *everything*.
I genuinely believe that this could be the successor that will take it to the next level.

And for the record - there really is no Nokia fanboyism in that at all. My N95 kicks ass.
The N97 can do everything the N95 can and then some.

Bring. It. On.

Re: James Whatley hands-on with the Nokia N97

Awesome stuff Mr Whatley... so? Is it like this just for me (aka is it an issue with Miro) ? Anyway, I shall now subscribe directly to the Vimeo feed.

Re: James Whatley hands-on with the Nokia N97

Awww that's just mean...

Re: James Whatley hands-on with the Nokia N97

I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you... ;)

Re: James Whatley hands-on with the Nokia N97

Yes mate, although Nokia would have to put in some extra special effort to pull off another device as ghastly as the N96...

Jeez..

Re: James Whatley hands-on with the Nokia N97

As much as I'm eager to know more about the upcoming N97, after watching the video I'm left wanting to know what's up with those tiles! LEDs are just naff compared with Xenon for any dark/night shot. N97 looks great, but no Xenon = deal killer, regardless of any impact on battery (if that's an issue carrying a spare battery is nothing compared with the extra bulk and losability factor of a spare camera). And I'm saying this from experience not ideology ;-)

Re: James Whatley hands-on with the Nokia N97

Thanks for that.
