I’ll update my Nokia N73 firmware

That’s what I’ll do, I said to myself this afternoon, I’ll update my Nokia N73 firmware. It’s a bit old, you see, my N73. It’s a bit 2006. I found this news on the Nokia Updater site and reckoned it’d be worth a look:

    Oh come on Ewan, I and others have commented several times on how to get round the Vista limitation - cough: Windows XP SP2 compatibility - do please give it a try.... But yes, it would be better if Nokia actually fixed this officially.

    You make a fair point Steve. However I think you said you wouldn't advise
    doing it on a phone that you actually need -- is that still the case?

    I too found this a problem. I received a message on my PC when I connected my phone. New software is available for your phone. If I had not backed up my phone I would have been totally screwed. My phone would not boot up after the upgrade. I had to re-install the old software version and format the memory card. I lost a lot of programs and apps it had took me about 1 year to build up.
    Be very careful if you are considering using this upgrade, be happy with what you have.
