If someone produces a SIM unlock before my O2 account is activated (the guy who told me 24 hours at 8pm last night was obviously talking absolute bollocks) I'm going to go to my nearest O2 store and make the manager eat my SIM card.

End of the tether has been reached and breached, I'm on hold to O2, when they answer they will activate my phone while I'm on the line or they will cancel my contract.

There is no other possible outcome I will accept.

After speaking to a chap about it and being put on hold for half an hour while he tried to get through to the back office who promised it would be active in 24 hours yesterday I finally lost my rag when I was told that they close at 9pm.

O2 can basically go fuck themselves, I told them I had no interest in being their customer and that I want any contract cancelled, if they want the phone back they can send someone to pick it up but if they take a penny out of my bank account I'll go to the nearest O2 store and ram my iPhone 3G down the manager's throat.

It's absolutely disgusting that customers can go into a store today and buy an iPhone 3G and walk out of the store with it working and yet I can't use the device I bought on Friday (regardless of how many hours I waited for it).

Absolutely DIS-FUCKING-GUSTED. I do not have the words to describe the anger.

Have you got some javascript we can stick on the site to count the seconds of o2's non performance?

I don't do javascript, but something like:

while(true){ print "O2 are shit"; }

would provide accurate output.
