For a start I couldn't download it from google.com/gmm on my phone - it kept giving me the previous 2.2.0.11 version (which I already have installed on my phone). Going to http://m.google.com/maps did the same. In the end I went to the 2nd url on my PC and was able to download 2.3.1, then bluetoothed the jad file to my phone (which worked fine).

After installing 2.3.1 on my Nokia N95 8GB (which is listed as a compatible phone) it would appear that the 'my location' feature that works brilliantly in 2.2.0.11 doesn't exist! I went to 'help' and was told that 'this device does not support the my location feature' - and yet the previous version did? Huh?

I now have both versions installed, but the new version seems a little obsolete if it's not making use of the GPS function on my phone? Surely Google wouldn't remove the 'my location' feature from a flagship handset such as the N95 8GB after already supporting it in previous versions of the software?
