So you have to be in very close proximity when performing a transaction.  Yet, as in any wireless situation, there are still other concerns to address so as to ensure a secured environment.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Secondly, I think people are less likely to get the heebie jeebies when using NFC cause again of the close proximity required versus other RFID technologies that broadcast over a greater range.  This expanded coverage could open the door to tracking your movement without your knowledge.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Lastly, the chip's ability to work in passive mode by drawing its power from the terminal means that it doesn't have to leech from your phone's precious battery supply in order to function.</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">trsills</dc:creator><pubDate>Fri, 29 Aug 2008 15:09:48 -0000</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
