    Omnifone is so weird. You can't install the app or get the service unless you have a VOD branded phone, with VOD firmware. It's not enough to be a VOD customer and have unlocked top-end phone.

    The MusicStation software requires Vodafone's security certificates installed. They're only available in branded firmware.

    AIUI, the certificate is needed to access core phone functionality. It also ensures that the software isn't mistakenly installed on to an incompatible / competitor handset.

    You can use it with an unlocked phone from Vodafone. If you've ported across from a competitor, or bought an unbranded handset, you'll need to flash it with the latest VF firmware.
