If so, what do you mean that "some carriers charge a fee if advertising is sent in an SMS"? Is it a case of they won't allow it unless you pay? I have seen ads in the US at the bottom of text messages. Example from my blackberry:&lt;br&gt;"GEMINI&lt;br&gt;{horoscope here}&lt;br&gt;* Ad here (wap link, phone number, reply 12345 for more, etc..)&lt;br&gt;"&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Also, I heard that text messages sent through short codes in Canada can only be 136 characters instead of the usual 160. Is this true? If so, do you know why?
